I haven’t written in quite awhile, sorry. I have been teaching watercolor classes in West Melbourne and working on a few book projects. The illustration work is taking up most of my days. This is a work in progress sample of one of the illustrations for my next book, due out late this fall.
The book is dedicated to my grandson, Logan, who happens to love bugs. The illustrations are all created in Adobe Photoshop. I am having so much fun learning how to “paint” digitally. I am really enjoying the fact that I can save different stages of the project and experiment on different “layers” without harming any work that I want to keep. It is a whole new world that is very exciting. I also love that it takes up only the space required for my computer and Wacom tablet!
I will be at the Authors for Authors Book Fair at the Eau Gallie Civic Center in Melbourne, Florida, on November 22 and 23, 2014. I am hoping to have the new book completed by then. I will also have copies of my other books including, Lilly Vanilly’s Tea Party, and my series of How to Paint in Watercolor books.
Thanks for visiting!
